DIY Bible Study

The amazing thing about God is that you can discover what He is like for yourself! All you will need is your own Bible and some time. To help you in your own "Do It Yourself" (DIY) Bible study, we recommend you follow these steps:

New to the Bible?

If you are new to the Bible, we recommend that you start with finding out more about the life of Jesus. There are four biographies, called Gospels, found in the Bible, which focus on the life of Jesus, particularly on His death on the cross and His resurrection back to life. For someone who is just starting like yourself, read through one chapter every day of the Gospel written by the young man called Mark. You'll find yourself really drawn to Jesus by the end of your study.

Once you have finished reading through Mark's gospel, you can continue learning about the amazing growth of the early Christian church by reading the historical account called Acts written by the Greek doctor called Luke.

Want to go deeper?

If you have already have a basic knowledge of the Bible, and want to go deeper, we recommend that you step into these books in the Bible:

  • John: A deeper theological picture of the life of Jesus
  • Ephesians: The grand picture of God's plan for His church
  • Genesis: Back to the beginning...

Discover the Future

If you are curious about God's plans for the future, then there are two books that you will find particularly interesting. They are both called apocalyptic books, which means that in them, God unveils what is going to happen in the future. You will fascinated with what is revealed in them:

  • Daniel: The visions of Daniel, the Jewish prime minister of the Babylonian and Medo-Persian empires.
  • Revelation: The visions of John, one of Jesus' disciples, while he was on the Greek island of Patmos.
